Dr. Martha Saenz

Secretary of the Board

My current role is as a healthcare administrator. I have been working in the family practice setting for over twelve years now. My overall goals are to continue serving in the healthcare setting; I am currently pending the medical licensing exams to become a family medicine physician. I maintain and practice integrity, respect, and honesty in all areas of my life. I believe in helping those in need and less fortunate. I am family-oriented and work focused, maintaining a work-life balance.

My educational background includes receiving an undergrad degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southwestern University (Georgetown, TX) in 1998. I am a foreign medical graduate, having attended medical school in Mexico (Universidad de Montemorelos), with graduation in 2015. Medical school included running two of my own clinics for one year, in social service to two of the poorest communities in the northern state of Nuevo Leon.

Outside of the workplace environment I enjoy crafting, running, movie-watching, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. I am proud to be an integral part of the Ma Hila’s Heart Project on their Board of Directors, continuing to positively influence families through their most difficult and tragic moments, having lost my own 17-year-old son in 2021 to bone cancer after his brave 2-1/2 year battle.
